Next For Digital Marketing in 2022

Expectations are a fun idea. There are just as many quotes that promote expectation as tips to dispel expectations completely.

"If you don't expect anything and you're not disappointed, you'll never disappoint."

"An attitude of expectation that is positive is a sign of a more powerful personality."

"There are two options to be happy Improve your living space or decrease your hopes."

My view on the ideal level of expectation is that it isn't a simple black and white situation. More times, it is based on the whom, what, and why of an expectation.

For instance, expecting someone or anything to alter after displaying a persistent inability or inability to change can lead to disappointment. There is no way to dismiss a desire for the possibility of happiness or success as something negative.

When marketing is concerned, it's clear that aiming for positive results is a great quality in any advertising campaign. However, realizing that things may not go according to plan and may require adjustments and optimization is just as important to the success of any campaign.

So, you must realize that success comes from remaining optimistic and working hard to accomplish your objectives, not simply shutting your eyes and waiting for everything to go according to the plan.

In a larger sense, there are two kinds of expectations that can assist your business as the calendar shifts to 2016. First, establish goals by making (or at the very least, reading) forecasts for your industry or market.

Even if it's as straightforward as preparing an inventory of the things you anticipated would happen in the last year but never came to the realization stage, knowing what you should expect is the first step in a variety of industries, particularly when they are moving as quickly as the marketing industry.

Another expectation to keep in your wallet is anticipating and accepting the unexpected. Your industry or market is shifting completely, a highly valued and essential employee is quitting for a better position, or a new and disruptive competitor is appearing and changing the game.

These scenarios could be challenging for your business to manage. However, you'll be better if you know that something unusual is bound to occur in 2016.

With the marketing industry in our minds, We created five potential events you can anticipate to be seeing happen over the next year. Without further delay, this is our What's Next for Digital marketing in 2016 infographic:

We've discussed that it's important to think into the future to guide the current strategy for marketing. This is exactly what we've done in our most recent infographic. With a particular focus on wearable technology, content marketing, and ever-increasingly special mobile payments, Here are some things to look out for in 2016:

It's not to say that we should stop referring to "digital marketing" (we did not even do this in this graphic!). It does not mean that "everybody" knows how important advertising in the online world is in 2016.

There are many businesses and industries behind in their digital strategy, and there's plenty of opportunity for those who wish to assist companies by implementing digital marketing campaigns.

We feel the need to call a spade by its name Marketing is now situated on the internet. However, referring to it as "digital marketing" is deceit as it's merely aiding brands in connecting to and giving value to their target audience.

Marketing is still a broad concept, and "digital" is just one aspect. There's no distinction between"a "digital marketer" or"traditional marketer "traditional marketer" now - we're marketers using any method that can send our messages to the most relevant people.

Have you ever opted not to buy something because of the difficulty of completing the transaction? On the other hand, did you buy something that you don't want because of how easy it was to make the transaction? I've been both sides of the coin, and it's no surprise that mobile payment processors and technology are pushing things up to a high level.

The decision to get on board with mobile payments being an early adopter can potentially either make or break companies in the next year. If you're a marketer or company selling products that require payment, it's a good idea to monitor the growth of mobile payments in the year 2016. You don't need evidence, but a recent study showed that almost an 80percent of Apple Watch users had attempted Apple Pay.

With the speed of growth over the last few years, it isn't easy to believe that content marketing will continue to grow larger, but that's exactly what we're expecting for 2016.

It's not just the fact that the market for content marketing is growing, but it's growing and adapting to new channels and, of course, the ever-changing regulations of Google and other search engines. If you're focused on creating, improving, or expanding your content in 2016it's a safe chance you'll be on the road towards success in marketing.

Predictions_5

We've discussed examples of ubiquitous advertisement in films; at first, it came up in Her in our whitepaper for mobile marketing. The co-founder of our company Dan Monaghan touched on it during his interview in the episode Minority Report on our podcast.

While these films may at first seem to appear "way far from reality" in terms of forecasting the future of our society, a little examination reveals the marketing used in the films to be extremely precise. It's not beyond the possibility that you're not aware of how you're being targeted (which is, when you think of it this way, could be great marketing).

Advertising will continue to be a part of our lives throughout 2016, but because targeting is so precise and the quality of content so high, consumers aren't bothered more than they did.

Predictions_6

In May, we were looking at the possibility of a predictive tool for content called Inbound Writer. As a professional in content marketing, I thought this technology was cool back then (and you must read the entire article since it's worth looking into because of other reasons).

However, in 2016 I anticipate predictive tools for content to make an enormous leap forward. There'll be many opportunities for those interested in using these tools (hint or hint, nudging, nudge for me as well!). Be aware and be prepared ahead of your competition!
