The usefulness of hosting or regarding a Pattern

Our lives run at a frantic speed. As we are pinned under the weight of our careers and personal obligations, we continuously fight fatigue and stress until we eventually exhaust ourselves. The cycle then restarts, and we wonder what else we can do other than keep going? It may sound cynical; however, there is truth to the idea that everybody is doing their best constantly.

For those of us who work in digital marketing, the notion that we are pulled in a variety of directions shouldn't come as a surprise. Brands (and our clients and their brands) are trying to get this attention. There's a reason why stress-relief programs and self-help books recommend organizing fun activities many of us would otherwise be unable to remember.

While talking about harsh realities, we must not forget humanity's remarkable ability to adapt. Our culture has progressed to the point that Artificial Intelligence and even life on Mars are possible. If we can figure out how to reach that Red Planet, we can cope with an extremely stressful, high-stress environment, right?

One of the most effective methods of transforming our attitudes and thoughts about life is to shift our perceptions by taking a break from our everyday routines. If you participated in or assisted with this year's Global Convention in Miami, I hope there was an escape from your typical day to alter your perspective positively.

As we reflect on our experiences this weekend, we decided to discuss some of the advantages anyone, regardless of sector, can reap by organizing or attending the next convention (or conferences).

This Will Take You Out Of Your Comfort Zone

Comfort zones are fun things. On the one hand, they're akin to sitting on the sofa with a good book and a blanket on a cold day. It's a nice idea until you realize you're expected to wash the home, write some emails or call and go out to buy food. Oops. A comfort zone is an uninvolved place where growth and ambition are buried under simpler, more secure things to handle.

Most people find that attending an event where they cannot meet anyone else and are required to meet or socialize and even deliver an address - is out of their comfort zone. In reality, going to a convention can be the ideal way to step outside your comfort zones and take on the possibility.

Suppose it's about making a major connection that will help put your company on the right path to success or just experiencing something different and making a few acquaintances. In that case, a conference is an ideal solution for those who feel bored or stuck.

It lets you focus on one thing.

The day-to-day routine can be chaotic and stressful, so let's go over the details. Based on the situation, there are bills to be paid or planned events, food to buy and cook, houses and apartments to be cleaned, and trouble to resolve.

And then there has to be time for social interaction and fun or enjoyment in life? It's already an awful lot, and we've not even talked about the full-time work or company to manage that isn't just the cause of stress but also the majority of an average individual's time (outside of sleep).

Good grief, Charlie Brown.

However, this isn't an unfortunate event because it's the way life is which we all live. However, going to a convention allows you to escape from the daily grind, even if it's just for several days. Once you've left, it's easy to concentrate only on what matters: attending the event.

There's a timetable that you have to follow. Go to this talk, hear the presentation, talk to others eating food and shake hands. You also distribute a few business cards. Sure, you're doing various things, but all are an integral part of attending a convention.

If you're planning to attend an event, go to it. Do not succumb to the desire to check your emails; let the office take care of the task. For a couple of days, you must concentrate on attending the event, and only that's all you need to do. It's a great idea when you manage it.

Offers the Chance to Chat with new People

You're probably surprised to learn that making new acquaintances is an immense challenge for some of us. Whatever the reasons, it's an obstacle that needs to be overcome. In my experience, the most effective way to conquer anything is to dive straight into it.

That means there's no turning back. What is the best way to leap into a conversation with a new person than entering the room of hundreds of industry experts who have never had the pleasure of meeting? It's impossible.

You'll find it difficult to accomplish. You'll feel a bit nervous and awkward, but get your partner because conventions are about conversation and creating connections. You'll make it through and be better off for doing it. It's just people at the end of the day.

Provides a new perspective on your daily life

If you're running or attending conventions, certainly, it's not something you're used to (unless you organize patterns for a living, and in that case, shhh). Being different from your "normal" can lead to a variety of things, with positive outcomes:

The first thing you should consider is the routine. Yes, there are bills, kids, and obligations, oh my. Everything. When we're trapped in a seemingly chaotic life, we consider what we've got for granted because we're stressed, frustrated, and exhausted. However, when we step out of the way and realize the things we do not see from afar, the essential things in our lives become clearer.

The second reason is that getting away from your routine could stimulate your creativity. Perhaps you solve a problem because your take it from new angles. You meet someone and engage in a fascinating conversation that later leads to an amazing idea. When you're on a schedule, you know exactly how your day will be. Sometimes adding a variable to the equation could be efficient.

If you're thinking of hosting or attending an event, We hope this helps make your decision easier. If you've participated in an event, let us know about your experiences by posting them on Twitter and Facebook.
